Daily Activity Vocabulary in Russian to Talk About Your Routine

In today’s post you’ll learn a ton of practical vocabulary that you can use to talk about your daily activities in Russian. Not only are these verbs and phrases helpful for discussing everyday habits and routines, but also actions in the past, present, or future if you change the forms. These will come in handy when telling stories, explaining what you did this morning, or what you plan to do in the future!

  • просыпа́ться: to wake up
  • встава́ть (с посте́ли): to get up
  • заправля́ть посте́ль: to make the bed
  • идти́ в ва́нную: to go to the bathroom
  • чи́стить зу́бы: to brush your teeth
  • ходи́ть на пробе́жку: to go for a jog
  • умыва́ться, умыва́ть лицо́: to wash your face
  • принима́ть душ: to take a shower
  • мыть во́лосы: to wash your hair
  • бри́ться: to shave
  • суши́ться: to dry off
  • расчёсывать во́лосы: to brush your hair
  • суши́ть во́лосы (фе́ном): to blow dry your hair (with a blow dryer)
  • де́лать укла́дку: to style your hair
  • де́лать причёску: to do a hairdo
  • наноси́ть макия́ж: to put on makeup
  • одева́ться: to get dressed
  • надева́ть (шко́льную,рабо́чую) фо́рму: to put on a (school, work) uniform
