In today’s post, we will be looking at the vocabulary that you can use to play Among Us in Russian! With the vocabulary and phrases below, you’ll be able to play Among Us with native Russian speakers and develop your colloquial Russian language skills along the way. Playing games in a foreign language is by far one of the most entertaining and surprisingly effective ways to improve your conversational knowledge of that language.
Whether you are online or in-person, learning Russian through games teaches you not only the specific vocabulary for each individual game, but also the conversational vernacular that can be applied to most other games as well (ex. turn, go, win/lose, etc.). What’s more, playing games is a great way to meet people and chat online or develop friendships in person! Win-win-win 🙂

While the Imposters are wandering around trying to blend in, the rest of the crewmates are racing to finish all of their tasks in order to win. If every crewmate finishes their tasks and the Imposter(s) haven’t killed the majority of crewmates, then the crewmates win.
On the map there are several rooms, and these rooms have several tasks that must be completed each game. It is important to know the names of the tasks, because, firstly, you want to complete these tasks and you need to know where to go to do them. In addition, you might need an alibi in case someone accuses you of being the Imposter! If you can’t say what you were doing when someone is killed, it looks suspicious.
Note: Several tasks can be done in multiple rooms, so there are a few repeats in the list below.
One ability that the Imposter has is to sabotage the spaceship. This is a great strategy to employ because it forces crewmates to fix whatever was sabotaged, and if they don’t fix it in time, this is an automatic win for the Imposter. It also allows the Imposter to force crewmates to run run one way, and he/she/they can hide, wait, and kill them as they run by.
Did you see someone vent? Kill someone else in front of you? Act suspicious in general? Then you’ll need to tell your fellow crewmates who it was! Below is a list of all the colors used in Among Us that you can identify players by.
If someone discovers a body or calls an emergency meeting, everyone is immediately summoned to the chatroom to discuss. Here, people will talk about where the body was found, who found the body, and any suspicions people might have about who killed the victim(s).
And there you have it! Download the Among Us app on the App Store and get playing 🙂 For extra resources to help you play in Russian, check out the links below.
